About the Role
This is a hands-on Creative Director role for someone who thrives on both big ideas and execution. The ideal candidate is just as comfortable developing brand-defining concepts as they are crafting messaging, refining visuals, and overseeing production.
Leading a key national healthcare account, the Creative Director will be actively involved in shaping campaigns from start to finish—overseeing work and rolling up their sleeves to develop, refine, and elevate creative output. This role requires a strategic thinker and a maker who can balance conceptual leadership with practical, executional excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Hands-On Creative Development & Execution:
- Lead the entire creative process, from concept to final execution, ensuring all work is innovative, strategically sound, and high quality.
- Develop big, campaignable ideas that work across digital, video, social, and print.
- Craft and refine messaging frameworks, campaign narratives, and storytelling decks.
- Write and edit scripts, headlines, and key messaging, ensuring clarity, engagement, and brand consistency.
- Partner closely with art directors, designers, and writers to refine and execute creative concepts.
- Collaborate with strategists and planners to ensure that insight-driven creative ideas align with brand objectives.
- Ensure all work meets brand, tone, and compliance guidelines while remaining creatively fresh.
Client & Team Leadership (Still Hands-On!):
- Act as a trusted creative lead, presenting work to clients and managing feedback collaboratively.
- Confidently sell and defend ideas, balancing creative integrity with business objectives.
- Mentor and support junior creatives, offering hands-on guidance while remaining involved in the work.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution across projects.
- Stay ahead of trends in advertising, digital marketing, and storytelling to bring fresh thinking to the table.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of creative leadership experience at a creative/ content agency.
- A strong portfolio showcasing brand-building work across digital, video, social, and integrated advertising.
- Proven ability to develop and execute ideas—this role requires direct involvement in the work.
- Strong writing, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate and sell creative thinking.
- A strategic mindset, working closely with planners and strategists to ensure creative is insight-driven.
- Confidence in managing client relationships, leading presentations, and handling feedback effectively.
- A collaborative and proactive approach—always ready to refine and improve creative output.
