Freelance Project Manager wanted to join a growing, global account. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience working as a Senior Integrated Project Manager preferably with Automotive and CGA/CGI experience.
Experienced in leading high value, multiple asset delivery projects from brief to delivery, you'll have worked with global brands, have a creative eye, and be enthusiastic, motivated and thrive under pressure.
Overview of the Role
Understanding the needs of market-leading, global brands and creating robust project plans for delivery to budget. Getting under the skin of the brief, the SPM will lead the team and work with Account Management, Editorial and Design teams to find solutions that deliver inspiring content in multiple formats for global clients and audiences.
This is a client-facing role and the SPM will be responsible for all aspects of the project/s, including but not limited to: the creation and maintaining of accurate projects plans; budget tracking and reporting; risk and issue management; accurate scoping, estimating and ensuring resources are allocated appropriately within the project plan.
The SPM, working in conjunction with the account management team, will effectively problem-solve to ensure the appropriate resources are in place, at the right time, and that the work is conducted in a timely fashion within approved scope and budget, aiming to exceed the clients’ expectations.
Key responsibilities:
- Take ownership for the creation of accurate project plans that work across multi-disciplined teams, with clearly defined milestones, deliverables and tasks. Work with Account Management to determine deliverables and tasks.
- Ensure resources are assigned appropriately throughout the life of the project. Work through/resolve resource issues as they arise.
- Work closely with clients to ensure the successful completion of the agreed project deliverables within scope, time and budget, while maintaining quality standards.
- Be accountable for staying within agreed-upon budget and for informing stakeholders and the client of any changes to scope and/or issues that arise on the project, and make recommendations on how to proceed.
- Create highly defined, easy-to-understand Scopes of Work, ensuring scope is clearly defined and costs match what is outlined in the project plan, working with the Account Management team
- Lead implementation of PM methodologies and processes, collaborating with internal stakeholders and client-side to facilitate efficient working practices across all workstreams.
- Manage the entire integrated project lifecycle.
Qualifications and experience:
- Running localised, complex, medium-large campaigns and projects
- Managing teams/stakeholders (internal and client-side)
- Setting up and managing suppliers and freelance contractors
- Experience in a client-facing role, being part of the team presenting creative work in line with necessary technical and functional specifications
- Owning the project process to facilitate all deliverables defined in the agreed SoW
Skills and knowledge:
- Proven project leadership experience on small to medium size to large size complex projects within an integrated agency.
- Knowledge of project management concepts and methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a creative environment while keeping projects on schedule and within budgeted allowance.
- Can act as project lead on large scale, multi-language/localisation projects.
- Have an understanding of CGA and CGI projects, digital content and multi-platform distribution, interactive and responsive websites, trans-creation/localisation, assets for social channels, toolkits etc.
- Understand stock imagery/footage usage rights
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
