This leading integrated creative agency is looking for a Social-First Project Manager – or Senior Account Manager for their fast-growth Global Tech & Thought Leadership client, for which they are responsible for creating a broad and diverse range of social-first, global, omnichannel content and creative–predominantly with US-based handles/clients.
About the role:
We are looking for a Social-First Project Manager—or SAM—with hands-on project management skills and 5+ years’ experience to work in an integrated capacity across multiple B2B workstreams on this fast-growing global account.
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading high-value social workstreams and projects from initial briefing to final delivery.
- The candidate must have experience working with global brands and be comfortable managing internal teams and communicating with clients.
- A candidate with a can-do attitude, enthusiasm, and the ability to thrive under pressure is essential.
This is a key role in their satellite NYC team (working with the wider London-based agency), so initiative, organisation, and a hands-on mindset are key.
The role will be responsible for all aspects of a project’s life cycle, including—but not limited to—the creation and maintenance of accurate project plans, risk and issue management, presentation of client status reports, accurate scoping and estimating, and ensuring resources are allocated appropriately in accordance with the project plan.
A key part of the role is effective problem-solving, in order to ensure the appropriate resources are in place and that the work is within approved scope and budget.
NB: This is a crucial lead role in their satellite NYC-based team.
Based on the nature of the work, applicants need to be flexible and able to work across ET and PT (client location) and UK time zones.
Key responsibilities include:
● Day-to-day contact for US clients (ET and PT), to deliver both always-on social as well as wider projects where needed
● Managing the day-to-day running of the satellite NYC-based social team, with daily deadlines, detailed project plans and status trackers
● Ensuring regular client communication and contact; emails, calls, f2f meetings including hands-on follow-ups of action items, meeting notes, status etc
● Creating accurate project plans that work across multi-disciplinary teams, with clear milestones, deliverables and tasks
● Working with the UK-based AM team to handover to and build on professional relationships with clients, and trouble-shoot or mitigate risks as they arise
● Allocating appropriate project resource and work closely with the UK-based team to manage weekly resource and resolve resource issues as they arise
● Working towards the successful completion of the agreed project deliverables within scope, time and budget – while maintaining extremely high standards
● Accountable for staying within the agreed budget and for informing stakeholders and the client of any changes to scope and/or issues that arise throughout the project; whilst making appropriate recommendations as to how to proceed
● Project managing the lifecycle of complex scalable projects, including social, video and stills shoots, print projects, digital delivery etc
● Have an understanding of how budgets are set up for the project and how to manage that budget efficiently and successfully
Skills beyond responsibilities:
● Highly organized with excellent attention to detail is a must
● Self-sufficient with a strong sense of initiative
● Experience delivering social media projects and “always on” projects
● Ability to coordinate actions and clearly articulate priorities for creative teams
● Is comfortable with a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
● Is innately “client-facing” in every area, from leading meetings to solving issues
● Manage and motivate teams & stakeholders (both internal and client-side)
● Strong communication skills with the ability to present information in verbal, written or visual form to a variety of audiences – across different timezones
● Practical and proficient understanding of G-Suite tools
